DAYTRIPPING (IN HONGDAE): CECILIA & GAYOUNG
A couple of weeks ago I invited two of my favorite models, Cecilia Kahangi and Go Gayoung, out on a daytrip. The theme was a celebration of the remaining warm weather with a touch of urban exploration. We hit up some of lesser known areas of Hongdae as my good friend Jung Hyun Suk tagged along and experimented with film photography. We weaved through discreet passageways and redevelopment zones, and stopped when the backdrops were just right. It's always jarring just how quiet it can get once you're away from the hustle and bustle of the main roads. In true Seoulite fashion, we concluded our meeting at a cafe, whose interior was just as maze-like as the alleyways outside. It's a bit sad that we won't get to enjoy this mood again until next year. Fortunately we have material for reminiscence.
