Une traversée qui sublime la beaute intérieure avec Jain Song — JAIN SONG wants to take you on a beautiful inner journey, reads the neatly printed handout that we found in our gift bag. Along with this was a striking, little potted cactus — a clue to what was to come. This season, Jain Song drew from the city-living woman who knows how to live life to the fullest while being conscious of mother nature.
One of the first looks was a tailored ensemble with a jacket that featured slits at the arm. Middle splits were also seen on her soft fabric pants. Following in tailored garments, was a white le smoking dress that was cool yet refined. Makeup was subtle with a little blush, an obvious route towards a natural look. Guest had their phones outstretch ready to snap the intricate embroidered tulle dress that sashayed down the runway. Like greenery, that has a mixture of different specimens — some garments were solid while others were full of movement as models walk by in a variety of fabrics, all light and flowy. A lace button-down long sleeve dress played tribute to the colour of nature: green. Flowers appeared in brocade on dresses and black tassels were seen as trimmings on a coat. In the spirit of summer and heat, were a number of swimsuits, large straw hats and cactus prints.
The show ended with an upbeat rendition of 1964’s “The Sound of Silence” by American duo Simon & Garfunkel. As models walk by us one last time, JAIN SONG’s collection wasn’t just aesthetically pleasing but completely wearable for the woman on the go.
